Can I use jclasslib without the bytecode viewer? Can I use the jclasslib library in my application? Can I distribute the jclasslib bytecode viewer? How does jclasslib compare to jakarta BCEL?
- Can I use jclasslib without the bytecode viewer?
- Yes, just delete the org.gjt.jclasslib.browser[.*] and
org.gjt.jclasslib.mdi packages from jclasslib.jar. After that
you end up with a ~ 50 kB compressed JAR file.
- Can I use the jclasslib library in my application?
- If your application is licensed under a GPL-compatible license, you can
link your application against jclasslib. For non-GPL compatible licenses
you must purchase a non-GPL licenses for
jclasslib. Please contact us for price inquiries.
- Can I distribute the jclasslib bytecode viewer?
-
If you do not link against the jclasslib library you may distribute
jclasslib even if your application is not licensed under a GPL-compatible
license. You may also invoke the bytecode viewer from your application.
- How does jclasslib compare to jakarta BCEL?
- jakarta BCEL is only available in Java. It has a similar scope but its architecture
and way of doing things are very different from jclasslib. Also, jclasslib's class
file viewer has no correspondence in BCEL.
