    gunzip filename
    tar xf filename

    jprofiler/bin/jprofiler

  • Solaris users are recommended to use gzip and GNU tar. The full set of GNU tools is available at http://www.sunfreeware.com.

Install the rpm with rpm -i <download_filename> or your favorite rpm tool. Execute jprofiler at the command line or use the kde/gnome desktop file /opt/jprofiler/jprofiler.desktop.
How to Upgrade
You may install a new version of JProfiler on top of an older version. Your configuration will not be lost. You can import your old settings in the setup wizard from jprofiler/config/config.xml.
